Located on a serene canyon with stunning North Shore ocean views from multiple rooms and three decks, it boasts a living/family room with vaulted wood ceiling, a formal dining room with seating for 10, 4 wood-burning fireplaces and a rarely seen relic - an original bomb shelter. Russell Forester designed the Living Room and downstairs suite as well as the expansive decks, which were added to the original home in 1964. The home also features hardwood floors, original doors, and some original hardware with glass doorknobs. The property includes 4 parcels with citrus, fig, peach and persimmon trees.
There are four bedrooms on the main floor, two with King Beds and two with Queen beds. One King bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with hall access and the other King shares a "Jack & Jill" bathroom with one Queen bedroom. There is a half bath in the hall outside the second Queen bedroom. Upstairs, there is a large loft bedroom with a balcony and ocean views, perfect for kids. It has one Queen bed, one twin and one twin trundle. Downstairs there is a large bedroom with ocean views, a King bed and ensuite bathroom with shower/tub combination. There is also a large game room in a well appointed basement and a full gym, including a Peloton. Two bedrooms have independent entrances.
The home features sprawling gardens and multiple decks with expansive areas to lounge and relax in front of the fire pit, BBQ and dine outside, or play ping pong or soft basket hoops while enjoying ocean and garden views from every level. This home is perfect for a family vacation with multiple generations and is a very fun house for kids of any age. Also, enjoy the newly added swim spa and hot tub (additional heating fee applies).

This property was very clean and very comfortable for 8 adults. Its a great place for a small family reunion which was what we had with our 6 adult children. The house was appointed beautifully and was very spacious with great outdoor deck areas. The beds were super comfortable and there was nothing at all lacking. In a quiet neighborhood and close to shops and restaurants, we would definitely stay again.

Whitefield Vistas was a great place for our extended family to get together for a week. Beautiful, modern, clean home with great views of the coastline from a quiet cul-de-sac. Large outdoor patios are great. Three large master bedrooms. Off the beaten path, in a great neighborhood, while also very convenient to Downtown La Jolla, the beaches and San Diego attractions. Great place to relax in style.

Peaceful and welcoming retreat
We really enjoyed our stay at the Whitefield Vista home. There were 12 of us, meeting for 6 days. The house and its accommodations made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. The Monarch Team, throughout the booking process and our stay, was communicating and responsive to ensure a stellar experience.
