Jenn was a lifesaver after we had another host cancel our reservation 2 days prior to our trip. She was very helpful with dealing with VRBO customer service for us. Her service for the house was top notch too. When we arrived I informed her there wasn’t a BBQ on the property and she had a brand new one delivered and assembled within the hour. The house has great views and the design and furnishings are thought provoking and give you a cool 50’s vibe. Th location is near the top of a hill but not too far from the village. It is walkable and our teenagers rented electric scooters for the ride back home. It ended up being a great La Jolla break. Surfing, swimming in the cove and great food. Enjoy!

The Sims Richards house was a step back in time. If one happened to be from that era it was a wonderful reminder of days gone by. All enjoyed the home. Parking was difficult, but it was a small price to pay for such a wonderful stay.

My parents came to spend some time with us all the way from Switzerland. They are passionate about architecture and this house was exactly what they wanted it to be. Now, they were a couple little things that were a bit of a downer like no gas in the barbecue, no water filter in the fridge and minor electrical which all have been notified to the team and they took care of it, the following day. Other than that, the house itself is a masterpiece architectural speaking. Obviously it's an older home so people that NEED an all new AC system and latest generations of appliances, this house might not be it but in terms of charm, locations and most importantly the amazing history of this designer home, it will take your breath away. Highly recommend it, for those that care and love good architectural homes.

Mid century architecturally significant home sitting high up a steep street. Great ocean views. Home is aging and could use some upgrading. There is no air conditioning in the home and it was hot when we were there making it uncomfortable inside the house even with all windows open and fans running. Beds are comfortable but small for two people. House could also use electrical upgrade as lights flashed when using hair straightener. Home has lots of potential and would be comfortable in milder temperatures.
